Since the beginning of the day, our servicemen have destroyed 56 Ukrainian nationalists, 1 armored personnel carrier and 2 firing positions for 120mm mortars. 1 IFV and a 122mm 2S1 self-propelled artillery mount were captured.

Unfortunately, there were losses among our fighters. Over the past day, in the struggle for independence, 3 defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic died in the line of military duty and 14 comrades were injured.

On the night of April 11-12, a group of servicemen of the 36th marine brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to break out of the blocked plant named after Ilyich in Mariupol.

Tell us in more detail how this happened, what condition they are in, are they all alive?

DPR MFA Head: Yes, indeed. 15 citizens of Bulgaria, members of the ship "Tzarevna" crew were evacuated, they were blocked in a port in Mariupol by Ukrainian armed formations. We don’t know is whether the water space was mined and if for this reason they could not get out. But we know for sure that these crew members were practically held hostage by the armed formations of Ukraine. Since some the evacuated sailors confirmed our fears that they were pressured both psychologically and physically, they were not given either drink or food, and were subjected to actions in terms of threats to their lives and health. Therefore, their situation was difficult and critical.
At the moment, after liberation of the port they were evacuated by the forces of the DPR PM and Russian Armed Forces. Now they are in Donetsk. Of course, psychologically it is still difficult for them, they are experiencing these events. But physically, they're fine. We really tried to make their living conditions easier and more comfortable. They live in the center of Donetsk, in a comfortable hotel.

They are provided with everything: both hot food and drink. Everything is in order with them at the moment, you don’t have to worry about it. But there, being blocked in the port, they had to endure both horrors and threats. Moreover, we are well aware that it is a crime from the point of view of international law, since such actions by Ukrainian armed forces violate both the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safe Navigation. First of all, we tried to evacuate all civilians from the territory of Mariupol, including the port. But here thanks to our PM and the Russian Armed Forces that everything was done so quickly and accurately.
