2022-06-14 19:20:02 Al Jazeera: Lebanon did not bring up point 29 during Hochstein's meetings

According to Al-Jazeera, during Amos Hochstein's meetings today with the Lebanese President and Prime Minister, the Lebanese officials didn't bring up point 29, but returned to its earlier claim of point 23, and of ownership over the "Qana" gas field.

It was reported that Lebanon also demanded that Israeli gas production from the "Karish" gas field be stopped until negotiations are completed.

Hochstein is expected to meet with Israeli officials and hear their position on the Lebanese demands before returning to Beirut with Israel's response. Open / Comment

The official Saudi news agency recently reported that according to the King's Office, US President Biden will visit the kingdom on July 15.

According to the Saudis, during Biden's visit a summit will be held with representatives from the Gulf countries, as well as the President of Egypt, the King of Jordan and the Prime Minister of Iraq.

The White House confirmed that Biden will visit the Middle East on July 13-16, during which he will also visit the Saudi capital of Jeddah.

For those unaware of the current status quo, Jews are permitted to visit but are prohibited from praying at the holy site. The man in the attached clip is wearing a "guide" vest and is reading text from a printed paper (taken from the Jewish morning prayer of Shakharit), likely in an attempt to hide the fact that he's praying. A New York Times article which was published today quotes an Iranian source as saying that Israel assassinated aerospace engineer Dr. Ayoob Entezari by poisoning the food at a dinner in the city of Yazd. According to this source, another scientist by the name of Kamran Aghamolaei (a geologist) was poisoned and killed during that same dinner. The host had since disappeared, and authorities are searching for him. Open / Comment
