The launch of Farsite decentralized economy is just around the corner. With FAR token mint and the launch of Credits Bridge, the interstellar economy will continue to expand and flourish beyond the universe of Farsite.

In less than 24 hours all remaining Alpha Crates will be destroyed, apart from just a few, left for the team to reward winners of various contests, as a legacy treasure.

Credit Cases will be the last ever Credits distribution event, meant to help player restock their vaults and help new players get started in the universe of Farsite, as well as kickstart the economy. These Cases will only contain Credits in fixed amounts, nothing else.

The Cases will be available starting September, 28 and be time-limited, increasing in price as time goes:

Callisto Case - 2,000,000 Credits, starting at 0.39 ETH
Thebe Case - 7,500,000 Credits, starting at 0.99 ETH
Elara Case - 20,000,000 Credits, starting at 1.99 ETH

Alpha Crates will cease to exist in only 5 days, removing the last option to obtain Ships apart from purchasing from other players.

2022-09-16 00:49:07 FAR Mint and Credits Bridge

The much anticipated Ethereum Merge event has seamlessly switched the consensus mechanism to PoS (Proof-of-Stake), which in all terms is a huge achievement not only for the Ethereum Foundation team but for mankind as a whole.

With Ethereum 2.0 finally here, we’re glad to announce the upcoming $FAR mint and Credits bridge, which will take place on November, 28 and will allow players to freely trade Credits in the form of the ERC-20 $FAR token.

Prior to the mint, the final Credits distribution event will take place. From September, 28 players will be able to purchase Credit Cases to restock deflationary Credits, which are necessary for all in-game operations. Open / Comment

2022-09-07 15:02:28 After all the changes are successfully implemented and adopted, the FAR token will be minted on Ethereum PoS network with the Cr. bridge and listings to follow enabling trading and incentivizing the Farsite economy.

Within a few weeks players will be able to acquire FAR without extra in-game items in the Crates.

Since the very beginning, Farsite has been designed to run on Ethereum 2.0.

The Bellatrix Upgrade successfully went live, paving the way for the Paris Upgrade with the introduction of the Proof-Of-Stake consensus mechanism coming around September 15 which is the long-awaited event among all blockchain enthusiasts and developers.

The Universe of Farsite will definitely support the new PoS Ethereum Network as the main one, paired with Polygon as an L2 scalability solution. Farsite will not be run on or involved in any forks or PoW alternatives. Please stay SAFU and never acquire any Farsite related tokens on the PoW. Open / Comment

Today, with the opening of 2 new stations: NEXUS (NYX) and MEBO (MEB), the role of cooperation in Farsite universe is increasing. Each station has its own storage and markets, including the brand new Components market. The value of goods delivered to each market depends solely on the players' actions.

Additionally in this update, apart from a pile of minor UX and cosmetic modifications, storage capacities, the production speed of Module and Ship Components has been improved.
