With the Sector Acquisition on the horizon, many travelers started to pile up their Credits to be ready to secure the most favorable spots within the observable universe once the process begins.

To ensure that every traveler will be able to acquire at least one Sector, the scientists introduced an option to disassemble your vessel free of charge to unlock the collateral. The number of Credits a Ship or a Module possesses can be viewed in the asset’s information card.

Please note, once the Ship or a Module is disassembled there is no turning back - you receive the collateral in full, but the cNFT gets burnt.

As an essential part of the Farsite Open Economy, apart from acquiring Sectors on Planets, Credits will soon be available on centralized and decentralized exchanges to be freely tradeable between the players.

The release of the Starmap has brought lots of new opportunities to the space exploration table. A part of the discovered universe is now under close observation of travelers.

The scientists decided to give all the travelers an equal opportunity to reserve a part of a planet within an explored area. The process will start on October 28 and will require a substantial amount of Credits starting from 382,000 per Sector, which will be burnt once a sector is acquired.

The number of available specializations to be chosen simultaneously depends on the size of a Planet and its Sectors:
1 spec. for S, 2 for M, 3 for L.

Owning Sectors will be essential for building a Base and launching various production cycles. Sector ownership rights will be transferable once the intergalactic marketplace is live.

2021-08-18 19:56:43 Technological Breakthrough in Space Research - Farsite Starmap v1.0 is Unveiled

The preparation for the great exodus is well underway. Each step towards the mesmerizing depths of space is getting bigger and firmer. Major part of humanity, those who are not obsessed with the illusions of saving the Earth, are building their Ships and stacking their knowledge.

The first version of the navigation tool called “Starmap” - is officially released. Travelers are now able to browse the galaxy and observe Constellations, Stars, and, most importantly - new Planets with their Sectors. The software is available in the Homestead Station Hangar for all travelers.

Once the Starmap is completed and thoroughly studied, the travelers will start closely inspecting Planets and reserving Sectors for further exploration and development, and will carefully try testing their Ships in short-distance flights, getting ready to leave their blue planet once and for all.

Despite decades of studying outer space, building massive telescopes, launching hundreds of satellites, space probes, and drones - we still are blatantly uninformed about our future destination. Making a decision to leave our decaying habitat for total uncertainty doesn’t seem like a reliable plan. In terms of the Universe, we are blind. But that won’t last long.

The recent breakthroughs in quantum physics, accompanied by the new method of analyzing signals from space could give us a much broader view of what’s the universe like and where should we travel. Scientists are preparing an early variant of a space navigation system to serve the pilots, they call it Star Map.

This interactive navigation system will be the next big step for the exodus. That’s where the new era of exploration begins.

According to the officials, the first version of Star Map is scheduled to be released on August 18.

In the recent arms race, travelers did their utmost to lay their hands on rare First Edition Crates to secure a decent Ship for the coming journey. Some did better than the others obtaining top-shelf battle cruisers, however, most failed to obtain those Crates at all.

Some people grabbed too many Crates, while some couldn’t get any. Remember, staying on Earth is not an option! We’re in this together. It was rumored that some traders already placed pieces of their fleet on auction, one lucky pilot even managed to snatch a fabulous Morgan for 1 ETH.

List your extra vessels on OpenSea to enable more people to escape the Earth or acquire an exclusive spacecraft if you still haven’t got one. If you don’t have any excess Ships, invite your friends, once they complete a couple of easy quests, we will supply them with a civil-grade starter Ship.
