As the long-awaited Alpha release date is just around the corner, it is vital to update the Farsite development roadmap and decompose the upcoming features.

Following the current roadmap, the Alpha will be released on July, 7, marking the beginning of a new development phase.

New Sectors opening, as well as the end of the airdrop campaign, is scheduled for July, 14.

Soon after the Alpha release, the set of Alpha features will be expanded during Phase VI, involving such mechanics as:
Market update (enabling trading Ships, Modules, Blueprints and Sectors)
New Stations to trade and store goods, park Ships

With the long-awaited Farsite Alpha just around the corner it is crucial for all travelers and recently enlisted Pilots to get ready and know as much as possible.

The Alpha brings a lot to the table, both in terms of gameplay and updated user experience. Here are just a few things to come with the release scheduled for July, 7

Ships and Modules manufacturing
A whole new layer of gameplay will emerge, enabling players to build Shipyards in their Sectors

Asteroids and Comets mining
Players will be able to use Radars and Scanners to spot various celestial bodies and extract Resources

FTL flights cost
All FTL flights will require Fuel. All Ships initially will have a full tank of Fuel, Pilots will be able to refill their tanks

Storage limitations
Players will have to start to manage their storage and cargo Ship capacities

FTL route planner
FTL route planner is a tool for Pilots, which can help them plan their flights around the space.

The time has come. More than half a million travelers waiting for the Alpha with only a fraction of 'em equipped enough to start exploring the Farsite universe July 7.

As the top-tier Crates were sold out within hours and only dozens of lightning-fast players managed to lay hands on exclusive Sacura Ships past year, the scientists decided to briefly open the Store with a small batch of limited-edition Alpha Crates on June 21.

Pilot Academy owners receive 5% of all ETH spent by their Scholars. On the other hand, Scholars get extra Credits from each Crate on top of bulk discounts.

Mark the date - the 21st of June, 1 PM UTC.

Starting today every traveler of Farsite with a couple of Ships in the hangar is able to open his own Academy. If you’re just a freshman with nothing but a pure will to start your adventure - don’t worry, there are plenty of experienced Pilots that will be glad to invite you to join their Academies, so choose wisely. Scholars will get fully-equipped Ships, guidance and protection, and Academy owners will receive a fair share of Credits their Scholars earn, as well as a share of ETH they spend in the Store.

Prior to the Alpha release scheduled for July, 7, as well as other significant occasions coming this quarter, it was decided to briefly re-open the Store, with a tiny drop of new Crates.

Starting next week, every member of the Farsite community will be able to open their own Academy. The Alpha release will enable players to train armies of Pilots with their Ships, helping newcomers to leave the Earth and start their new life in outer space.

Thousands of enlisted travelers have been patiently waiting to start their adventure in the universe of Farsite. And the wait is almost over, as Phase IV of the development process comes to an end.
