The expanding Farsite universe grows wider and bigger, bringing more mysteries and opportunities with every next FTL jump.

To meet expectations of travelers willing to try conquering its vastness, two new Stations will be opened on August, 25 to unlock cross-Station trading and additional storage capacity. Components market will be opened the same day!

Each Station - HOM, NEXUS and MEBO will have independent marketplace, with its own supply and demand over the whole variety of goods, and consequently - different prices. Not only players will have shorter routes to put minerals on sale, but unique opportunities to arbitrage Resources and Components transporting them from one Station to another will appear - thousands of players will always look for the best deal across the Universe! Even in space, there should be a place where you can stay. A place where you can store your treasures, set up your manufacturing facilities, a place you can call your home. That’s what Sectors are for.

The last time Sectors became available for acquisition, many travelers managed to secure their positions in space. But that was far from enough. Recently scientists have discovered 9 more Planets full of different resources, and just now they have finished researching their surfaces.

Planets have been divided into 470 Sectors of 3 different sizes which are now available for acquisition:
S - size - 220 Sectors
HIP-41 (Volcanic) - 80 Sectors - 755.000 Cr.
HAS-20 (Earth) - 30 Sectors - 1.077.000 Cr.
HADES-10 : (Volcanic) - 30 Sectors - 819.000 Cr.
NEX-1 (Toxic) - 80 - Sectors - 713.000 Cr.

M - size - 140 Sectors
SEDNA-1 (Toxic) - 30 Sectors - 1.893.000 Cr.
MAZU-1 (Volcanic) - 80 Sectors - 2.063.000 Cr.
MEB-5 (Rock) - 30 Sectors - 2.681.000 Cr.

L - size - 110 Sectors

Planets containing Sectors available for acquisition can be found via Starmap and have blue edging. Choose Star System, Planet, and then Sector. When hovering above a Planet you can see the number of vacant Sectors. Dark blue color - the Sector is already acquired, light blue means the Sector is yet free.

In Phase VII of Farsite development, the Sectors will become available for trading with the Market V2 release.

Despite all the unpleasant events passing on Earth, the labs of Supernovae are as busy as they can get. With developing and modernizing new technologies to facilitate the ambitions of interstellar travelers, the neverending exploration process is bearing fruit.

Recently 9 more different Planets have been discovered. Scientists have started exploring the surfaces and are already collecting data from drones to find what resources could be extracted.

The newly discovered Planets will be divided into Sectors and become available for the public for acquisition. It is rumored that a total of 470 Sectors containing valuable resources will be available for acquisition. The process is said to begin on July, 14.

Throughout the history of humanity, there was not a single civilization that wasn’t gravitated by the mysterious obscurity of the star-spangled night sky. Every living human at some point was looking up into the blue, pondering about magical signs, prophecies and almighty gods.

But despite the persistent will to explore outer space, humans have never had a sufficient urge to channel all their resources and put all their thoughts into it. Until now. Once it became obvious, that the Earth cannot host us anymore, it was time to leave. Leave in search of new planets, new technologies to reach and make use of, and new hope.

Starting today, hundreds of thousands of travelers are able to start building up their interstellar legacy in the universe of Farsite. Within the current stage of the Alpha, players will start facing their first challenges of pioneering the exploration of the universe, such as mining Comets and Asteroids, building new Ships using blueprints, using their limited fuel and Credits conveniently, managing their cargo, etc.
