Since the very first time when people realized there is no way life on Earth could survive, they started wondering - how to escape and how to recreate civilization in an open space. It was obvious that there could be no progress, no evolution - without cooperation.

Starting today, the Farsite Marketplace, powered by SPNV-developed own scalability solution, starts its operations. Located in the Homestead Station, it allows travelers to trade resources*, transported to the Station, in exchange for Credits.

Moreover, players are now able to craft Components, which soon will be needed to build Ships and Modules, and dismantle their planetary Bases to free up the space within their Sectors and retrieve some resources spent to build one.

The universe of Farsite is enormous and ever-expanding. In this new world, it is almost impossible to master all the skills and specializations, or seize all the resources and process them all at the same time. Helping each other is key, and the best way to do so is trading.

Starting March, 10 all travelers will be able to trade resources on an open market for Credits. To open the marketplace and sell or purchase desired items one will have to reach the Homestead station. All resources should be transferred to the station’s storage to be sold.

Also, players will be able to craft components, which soon will be needed to build Ships and Modules - corresponding constructions will appear in the Base building menu. Speaking about Bases - with the Marketplace Update a new Base dismantle feature will be introduced to enable players to free up the space within their Sectors and retrieve some resources spent to build one.

Faster Than Light travel is now possible - thanks to the efforts of the Earth’s greatest aspiring minds. Starting today all travelers are able to use the Gates to save years flying to the distant corners of the galaxy and back.

From now on you can almost instantly travel through space to different Planetary Systems and Stars, transporting resources from one Sector to another. Travelers are also able to build refining facilities and start processing resources. During the Pre-Alpha FTL travels will be instant and free of charge, in the future the cost of the FTL travel will be adjusted.

2022-01-20 18:41:51 The Gates Grand Opening

Traveling through space takes thousands of years of going with a speed of light to reach faraway destinations. Luckily, the scientists have discovered the phenomenon of Faster-Than-Light travel and built the Gates to help travelers jump through lightyears in mere seconds.

Starting from January 27, the Gates will open and enable players to travel through space to different Planetary Systems and Stars. Travelers will be able to use their own Ships to transport Resources from one Sector to another. During the Pre-Alpha FTL travels will be free of charge and instant, in the future the cost of the FTL travel will be adjusted.

Moreover, with the Gates update, the Refineries will also be available for travelers. Players will be able to build the facilities and start refining their Resources.

This year has brought lots of challenges and opportunities for all ambitious travelers, willing to escape the fading Earth. The brightest people gathered together in search of a better future - more than 500,000 of them.

The Star Map release opened new horizons for travelers and showed the prospects of exploring other Planets and their Sectors, most of which were acquired by in a speed of light. The early Crates sold-outs proved that conquering space - not digging into the Earth - is the future.

Today is Christmas, and the scientists of SUPERNOVAE labs are wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This one may be the last Christmas on this planet, so gather with your loved ones, spend time with your family and let yourself relax for a while.

We hope that the next year will bring us closer to unveiling the secrets of the universe. And we will do our utmost to make that happen. Thank you for your faith and support.

2021-12-14 19:00:46 Pre-Alpha - Sneak Peek into the Future

Today we’re happy to announce the opening of the Pre-Alpha. This is an early access mode intended to shed some light on what will be going on in the Alpha release of Farsite

All Ships and other assets have been transferred to the Homestead station. Starting today, travelers will be able to test-fly their Ships and launch mining facilities within their planetary Sectors

The upcoming launch of FTL interstellar flights, refinery operations and the opening of the in-game marketplace is to be announced shortly

Please note the Farsite is work-in-progress, the released Pre-Alpha is not representing the core game loop, giving just an early preview of some features. Functionality and numbers could be adjusted prior to the Alpha launch

The fully-pledged Alpha release will include:

The Star Map keeps growing - thanks to all the efforts of the Earth’s greatest minds. With the rapid development of technologies, travelers will soon be able to make use of their space real estate, building mining facilities on their planetary Sectors, and setting up refineries right there on the surface.

The first wave of exploration of nearby constellations has brought hundreds of ambitious travelers, who secured almost every available Sector. This time the scientists have discovered 6 new Planets with valuable resources. Those Planets have been divided into 280 acquirable Sectors and will be available for acquisition starting December, 9.
