2022-04-18 21:05:15 Some candidates associate TRAVEL only with Tourism, but little they know about another meaning of this word. So when they get questions similar to those shown above, they may get confused and answer smth like:
- TO BE HONEST, I HAVEN'T TRAVELLED YET

Well, TRAVEL isn't only used with long journeys. It can also be used when talking about going from one place to another:
• I travel to work by bus = I go to work by bus
• I travel to college by bicycle = I go to college by bicycle

2022-04-15 20:35:31 If you're given a chart about students, don't be afraid to write the word STUDENTS. Seriously.
Lots of candidates think that no words must be repeated in IELTS Writing. So, instead of STUDENTS, they write PUPILS, LEARNERS, TEENAGERS, ADOLESCENTS, FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORE etc and then they get surprised why their score isn't so high.

The model answer provided by Anneli Williams, an IELTS expert from the UK, an author of Collin's Writing for IELTS, demonstrates that it's totally fine to repeat the key words such as STUDENTS, SUBJECTS, or DEGREES.
