2022-06-10 09:01:04 If you want your repentance to be fruitful, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness with an attentive heart and a sweet tongue, with the intention that you are repenting from the sin, while also beseeching Him for His Mercy, Favors, and Blessings.

2022-06-10 09:01:04 Ponder: What is the purpose of your repentance?

One might say: “I sought Allaah’s forgiveness, but neither did I receive what was promised in the Qur’aan and nor do I think that Allaah forgave me!”

It could be that his repentance was not sincere, and his repenting is in need of repentance. He might have to seek repentance for the way he is repenting!

Seeking forgiveness is not merely by the movement of the tongue. Rather, one should stop sinning, remove the factors that cause him to sin, and leave the path that leads towards sins. This is the condition of sincere repentance.

For example: one has an inappropriate pic or video in his smartphone. So, the first step towards sincere repentance is that he deletes it, does not go back to it, does not share it with others, and seeks Allaah’s forgiveness and does good deeds.

As Allaah تعالى said:

{But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.}
[Surah Taha (20): 82]

Allaah تعالى mentioned the following as a sign of sincere repentance:
Turning to Him in repentance by leaving evil deeds and acts of disobedience.
Believing in Allaah that He alone deserves worship.
And increasing in doing good deeds.

Does Allaah stop it at here?! No, rather, He تعالى adds to it:
And continues in guidance – meaning: he remains constant in doing good deeds till his death.

Remember, and be assured that if Allaah guides you towards seeking forgiveness, then He تعالى will indeed forgive you, repel the harm, remove the hardship, provide you with a way out of difficulties, and provide you with what He has promised.

If you are sick, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness continuously!

If you are in debt, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness continuously!

The One who has made seeking forgiveness and obligation upon you, has also promised that He will remove your hardships.

You want riches, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!

You’re seeking wellbeing (al-`Aafiyah), then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!

You’re depressed and want to get rid of depression, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!

You’re hurt and sadness has engulfed your heart, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!

Your chest feels constricted and you want to get rid of that feeling, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!

You want your children to be righteous, then seek Allaah’s forgiveness!

Seek forgiveness, such that your heart follows your tongue, and not by merely moving your tongue only. What is on your tongue should be in your heart as well.

Some people say: Astaghfirullaah! Astaghfirullaah! But their intention is not to seek Allaah’s forgiveness. They heard the Aayah:

فَقُلْتُ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا ‎* يُرْسِلِ السَّمَاءَ عَلَيْكُم مِّدْرَارًا ‎* وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّاتٍ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَارًا

{And (Nooh عليه السلام) said: “Seek forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers, and give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.}
[Surah Nooh (71): 10-12]

So, one might do Istighfaar so that he gets married. The other does Istighfaar so that he becomes successful, or to get rich, or to pass in the exams.

Indeed, Allaah will provide for the one who seeks forgiveness with all that He has promised, but with a condition, that his intention should be to repent and to seek Allaah’s forgiveness for the sins that he had committed. When one seeks forgiveness for his sins, then as the fruits of his repentance, Allaah تعالى will provide for him all that He has promised in those Aayaat, and with much more.

Don’t seek forgiveness with the intention that you are seeking marriage!

Don’t seek forgiveness with the intention that you want to get rich!

Seek forgiveness for your sins first and Allaah will definitely provide for you with all that.

2022-06-02 05:42:23 Explanation Of The Dhikr: No One Can Give What Allaah Withholds

2022-06-01 20:47:23 {and Allaah is the Free of need, while you are the needy (and poor)}
[Surah Muhammad (47): 38]

So here it means: “O rich person, O king, O President, O knowledgeable one, do not be deceived with what you have, and fear Allaah, for nothing will benefit you with Allaah, and nothing will save you from the punishment of Allaah on that Day except for your Imaan and piety.”

And the Prophet ﷺ said:
❝And whoever is slowed down by his actions (i.e. bad deeds), will not be hastened forward by his lineage.❞
[Saheeh Muslim]

From this narration, one also learns that the Companions رضي الله عنهم used to advise one another. And they used to ask one another about the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ so that they could follow the Sunnah and implement it in their lives.

2022-06-01 20:47:23 What He Wills will happen and what He does not Will will not happen. This Dhikr has accumulated Tawheed al-Ruboobiyah (Lordship), Tawheed al-Uloohiyah (Worship), and Tawheed al-Asmaa was-Sifaat (Names and Attributes).

This Dhikr, it has been legislated to say it on two positions, or at two times. The first time is during the Salaah, after getting up from the Rukoo` (bowing) (as mentioned in another narration in Saheeh Muslim), and the other time is after completing the obligatory Salaah, i.e., after the Tasleem at the end of the five daily prayers.

“Dhal-Jaddi” means: “The one who has received fortune, Rizq (sustenance), wealth, riches, etc.” A person’s wealth, riches, status, ancestry, etc., will not benefit him, irrespective of who he is if he is not a sincere Believer. As Allaah تعالى said:

{And it is not your wealth, nor your children that bring you nearer to Us (i.e., pleases Allaah), but only he (will please Us) who believes (in the Islaamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds; as for such, there will be twofold reward for what they did, and they will reside in the high dwellings (Paradise) in peace and security.}
[Surah Saba (34): 37]

So, do not be deceived by your strength, or wealth, or knowledge, or position, or your followers. If a person is not a sincere Believer, he will lose in this world and the Hereafter, and this is an ultimate loss.

So when a person says: ❝Allaahumma❞, it is with the meaning of praising Allaah and thanking Him, and acknowledging His favors and blessings, that no one can withhold what You give O Allaah! For all the matters are in Your Hands, and only what you Will will happen. All the good is from You, O Allaah! And evil cannot be ascribed to You!

All the good is in Allaah’s Hands, and this is one of the greatest favors of Allaah upon His slaves. If the keys of goodness were in the hands of people, everyone would have perished because of their jealousy, enmity, miserliness, stinginess, etc.

{Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): “If you possessed the treasure of the Mercy of my Lord (wealth, money, provision, etc.), then you would surely hold back (from spending) for fear of (being exhausted), and man is ever miserly!”}
[Surah al-Isra (17): 100]

Imagine, the treasures of al-Rahmaan which never depletes irrespective of how much of it is spent, if Allaah were to give it to the people to manage, they will withhold it because of their stinginess and out of the fear of it getting exhausted and consumed. So, you should thank Allaah that no one can withhold from you if Allaah wants to grant it to you. By Allaah! If all the humans and Jinns were to gather together to prevent a thing from reaching you, which Allaah has decreed for you, they will not be able to do so.

Similarly, be content and acknowledge that if Allaah were to withhold a thing from you, then no one can give it to you after Him. By Allaah! If all the humans and Jinns were to gather together to give you something, which Allaah has not decreed for you, they will never be able to do so.

Then you say: ❝and the riches of a fortunate person will be of no avail to him against You, for from You comes all wealth and fortune.❞, everyone is poor in front of Allaah. If all the rich people were to gather their wealth together, they would still be poor and dependent upon Allaah for their needs, as Allaah تعالى said:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ

{O mankind! it is you who stand in need of Allaah, but Allaah is Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all praise.}
[Surah Faatir (35): 15]

And Allaah تعالى said:

2022-06-01 20:47:22 An important Dhikr after the Five daily prayers

Explanation of the Hadeeth: Your riches are of no benefit in front of Allaah

Warraad, who was the scribe and a freed slave of al-Mugheerah Ibn Shubah رضي الله عنه, narrated that Khaleefah Muaawiyah Ibn Abee Sufyaan رضي الله عنهما wrote to al-Mugheerah رضي الله عنه – and he was the Ameer assigned by Muaawiyah رضي الله عنه over al-Koofah – asking him to write for him a Hadeeth which he had heard from the Prophet ﷺ. So, al-Mugheerah رضي الله عنه wrote to Muaawiyah رضي الله عنه: “Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ used to say at the end of every obligatory prayer after the Tasleem:

❝Laa ilaaha illa-l-laahu wahdahoo laa sharika lahoo; lahu-l-mulk wa lahu-l-hamd, wahuwa alaa kulli shai’n Qadeer. Allaahumma laa maania Limaa ataita, wa laa mutia Limaa manata, wa laa yanfau dhal-jaddi minkal-jadd.

None has the right to be worshiped except Allaah Alone Who has no partner. His is the Kingdom and all praise, and Omnipotent is He. O Allaah! No one can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the riches of a fortunate person will be of no avail to him against You, for from You comes all wealth and fortune.❞
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (844, 6330, 6615, 7292) and Saheeh Muslim]

Terminologies:
❝Laa ilaaha illa-l-laahu❞, meaning: “None has the right to be worshiped except Allaah سبحانه وتعالى.”

❝wahdahoo laa sharika lahoo❞, meaning: “He alone deserves worship, and He has no partners or equals.”

❝His is the Kingdom.❞ , meaning: “ He is the Master and Owner of all that exists. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth.”

❝and to Him belong all praise❞, meaning: “Complete and Perfect praise is for Him alone, and He alone deserves all praises.”

❝wahuwa alaa kulli shai’n Qadeer❞, meaning: “He is the Omnipotent, and He does what He intends. There is nothing in the heavens and the earth that can cause failure to Allaah’s plans”

❝Allaahumma laa maania Limaa ataita, wa laa mutia Limaa manata❞, meaning: “If Allaah intends to give someone something, then there is no one who can withhold it from reaching that person. And if Allaah intends to withhold something from someone, then no one has any might or power to grant it to him against Allaah’s Will.” As Allaah تعالى said:

{Whatever of mercy (i.e., of good), Allaah may grant to mankind, none can withhold it, and whatever He may withhold, none can grant it thereafter. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise}
[Surah Faatir (35):2]

❝wa laa yanfau dhal-jaddi minkal-jadd❞, “Al-Jadd” means: “One’s share of the worldly life and its riches, it could be either wealth, children, great status, high position, or superior knowledge. If Allaah does not Will, then the riches of a rich person will be of no benefit to him, the fortunes of a fortunate person will be of no benefit to him, and the knowledge of a knowledgeable person will be of no benefit to him. The only thing beneficial for a person is his good deeds. The phrase means: “O Allaah, a person’s share of the worldly life is not a reason for his success. Rather, his success is through your Favors and Mercy!”

Explanation:

This is an amazing Dhikr. It comprises of the declaration of Tawheed, i.e., only Allaah alone has the right to be worshiped, and it negates Shirk or associating any partners with Allaah in His worship, and it is an affirmation that everything belongs to Allaah and that He has absolute ownership over His vast Kingdom, and to Him belongs the perfect praise and the absolute power سبحانه وتعالى. And it is also an affirmation that He has complete control, nothing happens without His Will and nothing escapes His knowledge.

2022-05-22 17:21:31 So, see which category you belong to? When people persist in evil, Allaah تعالى replaces them. So, if you want to know your place with Allaah then see in what He تعالى uses you. So, when Allaah loves a slave, He تعالى uses him in righteousness, and makes people inclined towards him, and opens for him the doors of good deeds.

And the statement of the Prophet ﷺ: ❝…until those around him are pleased with him.❞, meaning: from his family, neighbors, his friends, and those who know him. They will praise him, fulfill his unfilled obligations, and Allaah تعالى will accept their testimony for him.

Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said: ❝If Allaah loves a person, He calls (Angel) Jibreel, saying: {Allaah loves so and so, O Jibreel (you too) love him}. So Jibreel would love him and then would make an announcement in the Heavens: “Allaah has loved so and-so therefore you should love him also.” So, all the dwellers of the Heavens would love him, and then he is granted the pleasure of the people on the earth.❞
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (3209, 6040, 7485) and Saheeh Muslim (2637)]

The righteous deeds have been compared with honey because honey is a pure food, and it sweetens the food and drink to which it is added.

A group of people may pass away but their honor remains…
…while a group would be alive, but they are like the dead among the living.
