2021-06-10 21:50:32 Saʿīd al-Maqburī narrated from Abū Hurayrah that he said: I was under the siege with ʿUthmān (may Allah be pleased with them both) in the house (ie: the day he was murdered), a man from among us was killed with an arrow.
وقال سعيد المقبري عن أبي هريرة كنت محصورا مع عثمان في الدار فرمي رجل منا

I said: “O Leader of the Believers (ie: ʿUthmān), now it is good to fight back; they have murdered a man among us.”
فقلت يا أمير المؤمنين الآن طاب الضراب قتلوا رجلا منا

He (ie: ʿUthmān) replied: “O Abū Hurayrah, I have asked you to throw away your sword. It is my life that they (the rebels) seek; I shall save the believers with my life today.”
قال عزمت عليك يا أبا هريرة إلا رميت بسيفك فإنما تراد نفسي وساقي المؤمنين بنفسي اليوم

Abū Hurayrah said: “I then threw away my sword, I did not know where it fell until this hour.”
قال أبو هريرة فرميت بسيفي فلا أدري أين هو حتى الساعة

2021-06-10 20:32:58 Nuʿaym b. Ḥammād reported: Ibn Mubārak said: My father said to me: “If I find your books, I will surely burn them!”
نُعَيْمُ بنُ حَمَّادٍ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ المُبَارَكِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَبِي: لَئِنْ وَجَدْتُ كُتُبَكَ، لأُحَرِقَنَّهَا.

So I told him: “And how will that affect me while they are in my chest.”
قُلْتُ: وَمَا عَلَيَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ وَهِيَ فِي صَدْرِي.

2021-06-10 18:08:41 Ibn Ḥabīb said in Al-Wāḍihah: The Prophet ﷺ judged between ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib and his wife Fāṭimah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) when she complained to him (the Prophet) about how burdensome home chores has been on her,
قَالَ ابن حبيب فِي " الْوَاضِحَةِ ": («حَكَمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَبَيْنَ زَوْجَتِهِ فاطمة رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا حِينَ اشْتَكَيَا إِلَيْهِ الْخِدْمَةَ،

So he adjudged that Fāṭimah continue to discharge the indoor duties while ʿAlī takes care of the outdoor duties.
فَحَكَمَ عَلَى فاطمة بِالْخِدْمَةِ الْبَاطِنَةِ خِدْمَةِ الْبَيْتِ وَحَكَمَ عَلَى علي بِالْخِدْمَةِ الظَّاهِرَةِ»)

Then he (ie: Ibn Ḥabīb) said: “And the indoor duties include: kneading flour (ie: making dough), cooking and baking, laying spreads and spreading mats, sweeping the house, fetching water, and all other house chores.”
ثُمَّ قَالَ ابن حبيب وَالْخِدْمَةُ الْبَاطِنَةُ: الْعَجِينُ وَالطَّبْخُ وَالْفَرْشُ وَكَنْسُ الْبَيْتِ وَاسْتِقَاءُ الْمَاءِ وَعَمَلُ الْبَيْتِ كُلِّهِ.

2021-06-10 02:15:06 قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بنُ سِنَانٍ: كَانَ لاَ يُتَحَدَّثُ فِي مَجْلِسِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَلاَ يُبْرَى قَلَمٌ، وَلاَ يَتَبَسَّمُ أَحَدٌ، وَلاَ يَقُوْمُ أَحَدٌ قَائِماً، كَأَنَّ عَلَى رُؤُوْسِهِمُ الطَّيرَ، أَوْ كَأَنَّهُم فِي صَلاَةٍ، فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَداً مِنْهُم تَبَسَّمَ، أَوْ تَحَدَّثَ، لَبِسَ نَعْلَهُ، وَخَرَجَ.

2021-06-09 19:24:44 Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ﷺ said: “(Before the coming of the Hour) seasons shall become closer, knowledge shall reduce, tribulations shall become common, there shall be widespread avarice, and there shall be al-harj.”
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ، وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ، وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ»،

They asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what is al-harj?”
قَالُوا «وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟

He replied: “Killing! Killing!”
قَالَ: «الْقَتْلُ الْقَتْلُ »

al-Albānī: Ṣaḥīḥ.
Shuʿayb al-Arnauṭ: “Ṣaḥīḥ according to the conditions of Muslim.”

2021-06-09 19:10:11 al-Nuʿmān b. Bashir reported that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Being together is a mercy; splitting is a punishment.”

ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَكِيعٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "الْجَمَاعَةُ رَحْمَةٌ والفرقة عذاب".

2021-06-09 18:26:03 He ﷺ said: “Allah is more merciful to His servants than this woman is to her child.”
فَقَالَ: (لَلَّهُ أَرْحَمُ بِعِبَادِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ بِوَلَدِهَا).

The author (ie: Ibn Baṭṭāl) said: “Showing mercy to a small child, hugging them, kissing them, being gentle and compassionate with them are from the actions which Allah is pleased with and which He will reward.”
قال المؤلف: رحمة الولد الصغير ومعانقته وتقبيله والرفق به من الأعمال التى يرضاها الله ويجازى عليها

2021-06-09 17:00:29 I say: Know that judging that a Muslim to have left Islām and entered into kufr (ie: disbelief) is something that it is not fitting for a Muslim who believes in Allah and the Last Day to do, except with a proof (burhān) which is clearer that the day-time sun – since it is established in the authentic ḥadīth, reported by a group of the Companions that he who says to his brother: “O Kāfir! Then it returns back to one of them.”. This is in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 10/154.
أقول: اعلم أن الحكم على الرجل المسلم بخروجه من دين الإسلام ودخوله في الكفر لا ينبغي لمسلم يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر أن يقدم عليه إلا ببرهان أوضح من شمس النهار فإنه قد ثبت في الأحاديث الصحيحة المروية من طريق جماعة من الصحابة أن: "من قال لأخيه: يا كافر فقد باء بها أحدهما" هكذا في الصحيح [البخاري "10/514"]،

And in another wording: “Whoever addresses a man with kufr, or says 'Enemy of Allah' and he is not that it returns back upon him.” [al-Bukhārī #6045, Muslim #61]
وفي لفظ آخر في الصحيحين [البخاري "6045"، مسلم "61"]، وغيرهما: "من دعا رجلا بالكفر أو قال عدو الله وليس كذلك إلا حار عليه"
