2022-02-16 10:26:58 The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"How wonderful is the case of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him.

This does not apply to anyone but the believer."

Qatadah (رحمة الله) said: "Excellent is the servant who if he is tested, he observes patience, and if he is granted prosperity, he is thankful for it."

"When a person dies, his deeds are cut off except for three: Continuing charity, knowledge that others benefited from, and a righteous son (child) who supplicates for him."

The Imam Ibn al Jawzi (رحمة الله) said:

"Anyone who loves that his deed doesn't cut off after his death, should spread (beneficial) knowledge"

« اَللَّهُمَّ سَلِّمنِي إلى رَمَضَان، وَسَلِّمْ لِي رَمَضَان، وَتَسَلَّمْهُ مِنِّي مُتَقَبَّلا »

(Allahumma sallimni ilaa ramadan, wa sallim lee ramadan, wa tasallamhu minni mutaqabbala)

"O Allah, keep me safe until Ramadan, keep Ramadan safe for me, and accept it from me."

This Duaa is Daeef Jiddan (very weak)

اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي رَجَبَ وَشَعْبَانَ ، وَبَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَانَ

NOTE: There is no harm in making duaa to Allah for letting one to witness/reach the month of Ramadan. The Salaf ul Saliheen used to make duaa to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى.

Hafiz Ibn Rajab (رحمة الله) said:

Ma'alla ibn al-Fadl (رحمة الله) said: "They used to pray to Allah for six months, may He be exalted, asking Him to cause them to reach Ramadan, and they used to call upon Him for six months asking Him to accept it from them."

Yahya ibn Abi Katheer (رحمة الله) said:

One of their duaas was: "O Allah, keep me safe until Ramadan, keep Ramadan safe for me, and accept it from me."

Lataa'if al-Ma'aarif (p. 148)

اللهم بلغنا رمضان . آمين!

"Whoever does a good deed in order to show off, Allah will expose his intentions on the Day of Resurrection (before the people),

and whoever puts the people into difficulties, Allah will put him into difficulties on the Day of Resurrection."
