Happy Friyay everyone! As per our usual Friyay Fun, in our very last episode of this month’s #Friyaypoll on all things local, we decided to snack on a crowd favorite! Awarded a Michelin plate, this delicious snack comes in a variety of flavors.

This round-shaped, traditional steamed rice flour kueh or sweet snack is usually filled with palm sugar. But there are more flavors!

With plant-based food tech growing in popularity, we speak to our friend Andre Menezes, co-founder and COO of Next Gen.

Born in Brazil, Andre moved to Singapore back in 2016. He wanted to introduce innovative and sustainable plant-based products that deliver tantalising taste experiences, which resulted in Next Gen Foods launching last year! 

“Personally, there is no other place I would rather be. Singapore is home to me, and I’ve decided to become a Permanent Resident. The country is safe, trustworthy, stable, innovative and connected – and most importantly, a food heaven!”

Having immersed himself in the cybersecurity industry for the past 10 years, Chang Yin Hong, currently a Cybersecurity Researcher at GovTech, shares his Silicon Valley experience and how he is applying what he learnt to broaden his technical capabilities in the public sector!
