Elfora, which is part of Midroc Investment Groups, is one of the companies working to fulfill the needs of poultry nationally. In addition to being a source for farmers, the company provides eggs, poultry meat, and day-old-chicks to the society through its sister company, Queen’s Supermarket.

Elfora has the capacity of producing 84,000 eggs/day and 36,000 kg of poultry meat/year. It ensures quality production by strictly adhering to scientific procedures. The company also is in the verge of finalizing a huge poultry production center, investing over Birr 1 billion.

At a cost of Birr 2 billion, Nib International Bank has completed the construction of its headquarters, a 37-storey building that had taken about 4 years of construction. It will be inaugurated on September 11, 2021.

The building is said to rent out most of the offices. According to the President of Nib Bank, Genene Ruga, the new building will save the bank Birr 30 million a year from renting its headquarters building. Nib Bank is also finalizing the construction of a technology center that will be in operation in the coming New Year.

In the hopes of reducing the impact of inflation on the society, MoF announces it has exempted tax from all imported wheat, oil, sugar, and rice, as of September 03, 21.

The ministry has also lifted VAT from all types of pasta and eggs.

The 112-page book titled, Potato Signals -African edition, is designed to benefit the potato farmer in Africa and is a small handy encyclopedia on potatoes particularly in East Africa.
