2021-05-04 16:06:10 Al-Bukhārī collected in his Ṣaḥīḥ that it was narrated by ʿAbd Allah b. Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him): that he heard a man reciting a Qurʾānic Verse which he had heard the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting in a different way.
وللبخاري في "صحيحه" عن عبد اللَّه بن مسعود -رضي اللَّه عنه- أنه سمع رجلًا يقرأ آيةً، سمع النبيّ -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم- قرأ خلافها،

So he took that man by the hand to the Prophet ﷺ (and told him the story).
قال: فأخذت بيده، فانطلقت به إلى النبيّ -صلى اللَّه عليه وسلم-،

He (ﷺ) said, “Both of you are reciting in a correct way, so carry on reciting.”
فقال: "كلاكما محسن، فاقرآ"،

The Prophet (ﷺ) further added, “The nations which were before you were destroyed (by Allah) because they differed.”
قال شعبة: أكبر علمي قال: "فإن من كان قبلكم اختلفوا، فأهلكهم"

2021-05-03 19:15:47 Abū Ṣāliḥ reported that Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،

When a person is deceased, al-Malāʿikah (ie: the Angels) ask: “What did he put forth (ie: as deeds)?”
قَالَ: " إِذَا مَاتَ الْمَيِّتُ تَقُولُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ: مَا قَدَّمَ؟

While the people ask, “What did he leave behind (ie: as inheritance)?”
وَيَقُولُ النَّاسُ: مَا تَرَكَ؟ "

2021-05-03 17:53:36 Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him allegedly) reported that the Messenger ﷺ used to like to break his fast on fresh dates so long as they were there, and upon dried dates if there were no fresh dates. And he would (also have dates) after a meal and would eat them in odds; three or five or seven.
حدثنا محمد بن سلمة الحراني عن الفزاري عن محمد بن المنكدر عن جابر بن عبد الله مرفوعا: " كان يعجبه أن يفطر على الرطب ما دام الرطب، وعلى التمر إذا لم يكن رطب، ويختم بهن، ويجعلهن وترا ثلاثا أوخمسا أوسبعا ".

Reported by Abū Bakr al-Shāfīʿī in his Fawaid (1/105) by way of al-Khaṭīb.
رواه أبو بكر الشافعي في " الفوائد " (105/1) ومن طريقه الخطيب في تاريخه (3/354)

I say: the chain is extremely weak for in it is al-Farāzī who is Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd Allah who is matrūk (ie: abandoned) as mentioned in al-Taqrīb. Shaykh Abū Bakr al-Shāfīʿī is also weak.
قلت: وهذا سند ضعيف جدا، وعلته الفزاري هذا، واسمه محمد بن عبيد الله العرزمي، وهو متروك، كما في " التقريب ". وشيخ أبي بكر الشافعي فيه ضعف.

2021-05-02 20:01:18 And it was reported by Imām Aḥmad in his Musnad with an authentic chain, that ʿAbd Allah b. ʿAmr b. ʿĀṣ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Did Allah not say, such and such?”
وأخرج الإمام أحمد - رَحِمَهُ اللهُ - في "مسنده"، بسند صحيح، عن عمرو بن شعيب، عن أبيه، عن جده، أن نَفَرًا كانوا جلوسًا بباب النبيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فقال بعضهم: ألم يقل الله: كذا وكذا؟

So some of the people said, “But did Allah not (also) say, such and such.”
وقال بعضهم: ألم يقل الله: كذا وكذا؟،

The Messenger ﷺ heard this and he came out as if his face was pierced red like a pomegranate (ie: out of anger).
فسمع ذلك رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم -، فخَرَج، كأنما فُقِئ في وجهه حَبّ الرُّمّان،

He said, “Was this what you were ordered – or sent to – that you argue parts of the Qurʾān against other parts? Indeed the nations before you became misguided due to this, verily you have no part in this. As for what you were commanded to do, act on it, as for what you have been prohibited from then abstain from it.”
فقال: "بهذا أُمرتم؟ أو بهذا بُعثتم؟ أن تضربوا كتاب الله بعضه ببعض؟ إنما ضَلّت الأمم قبلكم في مثل هذا، إنكم لستم مما ها هنا في شيء، انظروا الذي أُمرتم به، فاعملوا به، والذي نُهيتم عنه فانتهوا".

2021-05-02 18:25:49 It is encouraged to engage in an abundance of supplication during all times, and to increase beyond that during the month of Ramaḍān, and then to increase therein during its last ten days, and then to increase even further in the odd-numbered ones. And it is encouraged to be prolific in making the following supplication: “Allāhumma innaka ‘Afuwwun tuhibbu’l-‘afwa f’afu ‘anee (O Allāh, Indeed You are Pardoning and love pardoning, so pardon me!)” This is in accordance with what Imām Aḥmad narrated … that ʿĀʾishah said, “O Messenger of Allāh, what should I say in my supplication if I come upon Laylah al-Qadr?” He replied, “Say: ”Allāhumma innaka ‘Afuwwun tuhibbu’l-‘afwa f’afu ‘anee (O Allāh, Indeed You are Pardoning and love pardoning, so pardon me!)“
وَالْمُسْتَحَبُّ الْإِكْثَارُ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ فِي جَمِيعِ الْأَوْقَاتِ وَفِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ أَكْثَرُ، وَفِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَخِيرِ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ فِي أَوْتَارِهِ أَكْثَرُ وَالْمُسْتَحَبُّ أَنَّ يُكْثِرَ مِنْ هَذَا الدُّعَاءِ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي. لِمَا رَوَاهُ الْإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ هُوَ ابْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ وَهُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ إياس عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنْ وَافَقْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فَمَا أَدْعُو؟ قَالَ: «قُولِي اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي»

And al-Tirmiḏī, al-Nasāʿī, and Ibn Mājah reported that ʿĀʿisha (may Allāh be pleased with her) narrated, ‘I asked the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) ‘O Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ), if I know what night the night of Qadr is, what should I say during it?’ He said, ”Say: O Allāh, You are the Pardoner and You love to pardon, so pardon me." This is al-Tirmiḏī's wording after which he said it is Ḥasan Ṣaḥīḥ.
وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ مِنْ طَرِيقِ كَهْمَسِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أرأيت إن علمت أي ليلة القدر ما أقول فيها؟ قال «قولي اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي» وَهَذَا لَفْظُ التِّرْمِذِيِّ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

ندور مع الدليل حيث دار

We do not have taʿaṣṣub (ie: fanaticism) towards any rajul (ie: man),
ولا نتعصب للرجال،

And we do not side with anyone but al-ḥaq (ie: the truth).

2021-05-01 16:41:20 Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger ﷺ used to like to break his fast with three dates or something which was not cooked.
كلاهما عن أبي ثابت عبد الواحد بن ثابت عن أنس مرفوعا: " كان يحب أن يفطر على ثلاث تمرات، أو شيء لم تصبه النار ".

I say: The chain is ḍaʿīf jiddan (ie: extremely weak because in the chain is) ʿAbd al-Wāḥid (b. Thābit), about whom al-Bukhārī said: “(He is) munkar (ie: rejected) in ḥadīth.”
قلت: وهذا سند ضعيف جدا عبد الواحد قال البخاري: " منكر الحديث ".

It was reported by al-ʿUqaylī in al-Duʿafāʾ, Abū Yaʿlá in his Musnad, and this wording is in al-Ḍiyāʾa's al-Mukhtārah.
رواه العقيلي في " الضعفاء " (ص 251) وأبو يعلى في " مسنده " (163/1) واللفظ له وعنه الضياء في " المختارة " (49/1)

2021-04-30 21:20:51 Narrated Zayd b. Thābit that the Prophet ﷺ took a room made of date palm leaves mats in the masjid.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ، ثنا عَفَّانُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ، ثنا وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا النَّضْرِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَتَّخَذَ حُجْرَةً فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مِنْ حَصِيرٍ

He (ﷺ) prayed in it for a few nights until the people gathered (to pray the Tarawīḥ prayer behind him).
فَصَلَّى فِيهَا لَيَالِيَ حَتَّى اجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ نَاسٌ،

Then on the fourth night the people did not hear his voice and they thought he had slept, so some of them started humming in order that he might come out.
ثُمَّ فَقَدُوا صَوْتَهُ فَظُنُّوا أَنَّهُ قَدْ نَامَ، فَجَعَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ يَتَنَحْنَحُ بِهِ لِيَخْرُجَ،

The Prophet ﷺ then said, “You continued doing what I saw you doing until I was afraid that this (Tarawīḥ prayer) might be enjoined on you, and if it were enjoined on you, you would not continue performing it.
فَقَالَ: «مَا زَالَ بِكُمُ الَّذِي رَأَيْتُ مِنَ صُنْعِكُمْ حَتَّى خَشِيتُ أَنْ يُكْتَبَ عَلَيْكُمْ قِيَامُ اللَّيْلِ، وَلَوْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَا قُمْتُمْ بِهِ،

Therefore, O people! Perform your prayers at your homes, for the best prayer of a person is what is performed at his home except the compulsory congregational) prayer.”
فَصَلُّوا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فِي بُيُوتِكُمْ، فَإِنَّ أَفْضَلَ صَلَاةِ الْمَرْءِ فِي بَيْتِهِ إِلَّا الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ»

2021-04-30 17:22:56 Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
وعن أنس رضي الله عنه؛ أنَّ رسولَ الله - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قال:

When a (believing) servant is laid in his grave and his companions return and he even hears their footsteps, two angels come to him and make him sit and ask him: “What did you use to say about this man, Muḥammad?”
"إنَّ العبدَ إذا وُضعَ في قبرِهِ وتولَّى عنه أصحابُه، وإنَّه ليسْمَعُ قرْعَ نِعالِهمْ إذا انْصَرفوا؛ أَتاه مَلَكانِ، فَيُقْعِدانهِ، فيقُولانِ لَهُ: ما كنتَ تَقولُ في هذا الرجلِ محمَّدٍ؟

He will say: “I testify that he is Allah’s slave and His Messenger.”
فأمَّا المؤْمِنُ فيقولُ: أشْهَدُ أنَّه عَبْدُ الله ورسولُه،

Then it will be said to him, “Look at your place in the Hell-Fire. Allah has given you a place in Paradise instead of it.”
فيُقالُ له: انْظُرْ إلى مَقْعَدِكَ مِنَ النارِ أبْدلَكَ الله بِهِ مَقْعَداً مِنَ الجنَّةِ؛

The Prophet ﷺ added: The dead person will see both his places (ie: the Hellfire he would have been in and Paradise which he was given instead).
قال النبيُّ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -: -فيراهُما جميعاً.

But a kāfir (ie: disbeliever) or a munāfiq (ie: hypocrite) will say to the angels, “I do not know, but I used to say what the people used to say!”
وأمَّا الكافِرُ أوِ المُنافِقُ فيقولُ: لا أدري، كنْتُ أقولُ ما يقولُ الناسُ فيه!

It will be said to him, “Neither did you know nor did you take the guidance (by reciting the Qurʾān).”
فيقالُ: لا دَرَيتَ ولا تَلَيْتَ،

Then he will be hit with an iron hammer between his two ears, and he will cry and that cry will be heard by whatever approaches him except human beings and jinns.”
ثمَّ يُضْرَبُ بِمِطْرَقَةٍ مِنْ حديدٍ ضَربَةً بين أذُنَيْهِ فيصيحُ صَيْحةً يسمَعُها مَنْ يَليه إلا الثَّقلَيْنِ".

Reported by al-Bukhārī (and this is his wording) and Muslim.
رواه البخاري واللفظ له، ومسلم.
