2021-06-11 18:30:43 EURO2020 starts today

It has been delayed by a year due to the pandemic outbreak, but still bears the name EURO2020. It kicks off tonight, when Italy and Turkey meet in the tournament's opening match in Rome's Stadio Olimpico, with the final being held at England's Wembley stadium on Sunday, July 11.

For the first time the competition will be hosted across the continent in some of Europe's biggest stadiums. Alongside London and Rome, the other host cities include St. Petersburg, Baku, Copenhagen, Budapest, Amsterdam, Bucharest, Glasgow, Seville and Munich.

Bilbao in Spain and Dublin in Ireland had been scheduled to host matches, but after local authorities didn't permit fans to attend games because of Covid-19 restrictions, European football's governing body UEFA chose to relocate Bilbao's matches to Seville and Dublin's fixtures to St. Petersburg.

Like all new CJSC Transmashholding rolling stock of the last years, a pod railcar will offer vending machines and shower for passengers.

This may be achieved through so-called economic diplomacy and close cooperation between the Russian Foreign Ministry and Russian line ministries and organisations," – Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister.

"We hope that the e-RUB will become an incentive for our banks to go into the African continent and do their best to participate in financing Russian-African start-ups, trade and, of course, in production localisation," – Igor Morozov, member of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.

Delegates from 32 African countries actively participated in this year's SPIEF: Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Libya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

During the Russia-Africa meetings, discussions, and roundtables, the experts agreed that economic diplomacy mechanisms should be used as much as possible, the work of intergovernmental commissions should be strengthened, and the number of reciprocal visits should be increased.

81% positively assessed the comprehensiveness of the Forum's topical scope and the great variety of its sections.

These are the results of the online survey of Forum participants conducted by Roscongress and VCIOM. The purpose was to determine the participants' perception of the Forum and their expectations of the event.

Main expectations of the participants were towards the establishment of business relations and communication:

43% of respondents consider their goal to establish relationships with the participants of the Forum that are important to them personally.

31% indicated communication with the Forum participants on the current situation in the country and the world.

91% of respondents marked a high level of demand for offline communication in the development of business relationships.

Innovation Space
Discussions over implementation of IT innovation in large organizations. There were 19 events attended by about 2,000 people. The total number of speakers and discussion participants exceedes 150 people.

Governors' Lounge
226 meetings were held with the participation of 43 heads of Russian regions, key leaders of federal ministries and agencies, foreign officials and businessmen. 44 agreements were signed.
