The Leningrad region authorities announced that this year's projects will focus on export. The projects include: construction of ethane processing and methanol production facilities; advanced fire-fighting means and compositions plant; a full cycle pig-breeding complex. Other projects relate to facilities reconstruction and business expansion.

As for tourism, agreements are expected to be signed with "Okhta Park" resort and "RZD-Invest" company.

The region's stand will be located in the Expoforum's Pavilion H.

The Scarlet Sails, a spectacular celebration for school graduates, has long become a much-loved tradition in St. Petersburg. This year, the event will be held on June 25.

The citywide show lasts all night long and includes: rock, classical, and ballet acts on multiple stages; fireworks and light shows; a series of events on the waters of the Neva River; and a stunning appearance of a ship with scarlet sails

The show has become an important part of the White Nights season. Moreover, just a few days ago the Scarlet Sails received 5 awards at the international Global Eventex Awards.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the concept of Russia's chairmanship in the Arctic Council. It is aimed at promoting balanced development of the Arctic region.

There are four priority directions that Russia intends to develop during its chairmanship in the Arctic Council in 2021-2023:

population of the Arctic, including indigenous minorities of the North;
protection of the Arctic environment, including climate change;
social and economic development of the region;
strengthening the role of the Arctic Council as the main platform for multilateral cooperation in the high latitudes.

Russia intends to work in close collaboration with the countries participating in the intergovernmental Arctic forum.

Ryazan will participate in SPIEF with a slogan "Where Ideas Are Turned Into Results". The region will present its advanced innovation and infrastructure projects; current amount of investments in them is about ☧20 billion ($27,100,000).

Several projects address drug safety in Russia. Drugs produced in the Ryazan region can be used both in the treatment of illnesses and in the prevention of viral diseases.

At SPIEF-2021, "RC-Investments" (the subsidiary of the Roscongress Foundation) and the Ryazan Region Development Corporation plan to sign a cooperation agreement, which will provide additional opportunities to promote economic and investment potential of the region.

Aeroflot passengers will be able to test an advanced long-range A350 aircraft during SPIEF 2021. This newest airbus will perform some of the flights on the Moscow - St. Petersburg route.

Aeroflot has become the official carrier of the Forum again this year, which is not really surprising: not only does it provide comfort to the Forum participants, but also ensures the route's capacity.

2021-05-14 14:09:35 More details on the SPIEF business program are gradually appearing. In particular, an EAEU-ASEAN business dialogue will take place with the support of the Russia-ASEAN Business Council and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

This year, Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations celebrate 30 years of relations and 25 years of full-fledged partnership. Among other things, the EAEC-ASEAN Cooperation Program until 2025 will be discussed. Businessmen of the related countries will also talk over joint investment projects.

Priority areas of cooperation between Russia, the EAEU and ASEAN countries are projects in energy, industry, ICT, infrastructure development, space, agriculture and transport. Russia is also actively involved in ASEAN programs for creating a network of "smart cities".

For example, Greece today lifts restrictions for tourists from Russia. Those vaccinated with Sputnik V or who have a negative coronavirus test do not have to undergo a two-week quarantine.

Meanwhile, a substantial delegation from Greece is expected to participate in SPIEF 2021. Among the guests are the president of the Greek-Russian Chamber of Commerce Pantelis Skarlatos, the president of the Economic Forum of Delphi Symeon Tsomokos, as well as representatives of numerous companies.

Several agreements are expected to be signed during the Forum.

The drama has the working title Challenge. This is the story of a female surgeon's mission to perform an operation on a cosmonaut too ill to return to Earth immediately.

Russia's Roscosmos space agency says it wants to show space opening up for a wider range of people. Actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko will blast off in a Russian rocket from Baikonur cosmodrome on 5 October.

Roscosmos has also announced that Japanese online fashion tycoon Yusaku Maezawa will go on a 12-day trip to the ISS in December.
