Yesterday, on International Children's Day in Germany, Italy, France and Greece, events were held as part of the Angels campaign, designed to honor the memory of the killed children in Donbass. Our like-minded people launched balloons and sky lanterns into the sky, recorded a video as a sign of support and expressed their solidarity with colored drawings, symbolizing the bright colors that every childhood should be filled with.

Among the participants were chairman of the DPR Representative Center in Turin, Italy Eliseo Bertolasi, head of the DPR Representative Center in Greece Andreas Zafeiris, member of the Berlin parliament Gunnar Lindemann and political scientist, head of the West-East NGO Nikola Mirkovich.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its sincere gratitude to all like-minded people and foreign friends for supporting the Republic’s people and continuing to honor the memory of the innocent children of Donbass for the seventh year now.

The "Angels" campaign has been held annually since 2016 with the support of the "Young Republic" NGO and the DPR Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this time, representatives of 20 countries of the world took part in this campaign. Open / Comment

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has fired more than 70 shells and mines from 122-mm multiple launch rocket systems BM-21 "Grad", 122-mm cannon artillery, as well as 120-mm mortars.

The areas of 6 settlements of the Republic were under shelling. As a result of the Ukrainian aggression a civilian was injured. 8 residential buildings and 2 civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Materials on the fact of wounding civilians and damage to infrastructure will be transferred to the DPR General Prosecutor's Office for inclusion in criminal cases initiated against the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The servicemen of the Donetsk People's Republic together with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to liberate the settlements of our Republic from Ukrainian invaders. Since the beginning of the day, our servicemen have destroyed 37 Ukrainian nationalists, 2 armored personnel carriers, a firing position of 122-mm D-30 artillery howitzers and 2 cargo vehicles. 2 armored personnel carriers and 2 cargo vehicles were captured.

Unfortunately, there were losses among our fighters. Over the past day, in the struggle for independence, 5 defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic died in the line of military duty and 23 comrades were injured.

Half of my childhood was spent in war. And for three years now I have been trying to get through to the adults. Politicians, religious and cultural figures… I try to tell them what is going on in our country, but the adults listen as usual, but are in no hurry to do something. The war goes on, adults are killed, children…. And I am unfortunately powerless here. We, the Donbass children, have experienced what the children of Ukraine are experiencing now. We know this fear. It is difficult for me to give advice to Ukrainian children, but as a child who lived in the war for eight years and saw the horrors of what happened, I want to wish them to be strong, not to become bitter and not to learn to hate. That is the most important thing. We know that. And anyway, the war will definitely end.

There is a lot of injustice in the world, but we, the children, try not to notice it. That’s why sometimes we have to ask questions. For example, what do you know about the Donbass? Or what do you know about children who died in military conflicts? Do you know the name of Kirill Sidoryuk? And what do you know about Milica Rakić, who was killed by cluster bombs in Serbia? Do you know the names of these children and their fates? I don’t think so. Well then, I will tell you that they died in wars waged by adults.

There has been a war in the Donbass for 8 years and nobody notices it. For Europe the war started in February 2022, for us it started in 2014. It is unlikely that it will be reported on TV or by well-known politicians. But I believe that the truth will prevail in any case. The children of the world will certainly be friends and there will be less and less war. That is my dream. This may be childish in its way, but I would so much like that the children of the world would never have to go through what the children of war went through, and that 1 June would just be a holiday. And that when I grow up and go to Angel Avenue in Donetsk or Lugansk and place flowers at the memorial, I would not see new names of children who died in that war.

578 civilians, including 46 children, were wounded of varying severity.

Damages:
- 3663 residential buildings;
- 771 civilian infrastructure facilities, including 49 medical institutions, 135 educational institutions, 227 social security facilities, 27 critical infrastructure facilities, 333 electricity, water and gas supply facilities. The armed formations of Ukraine attack Kuibyshevsky, Petrovsky, Kirovsky and Kievsky districts of Donetsk, Gorlovka, Elenovka, Yasinovataya.

During the 100 days of escalation the DPR JCCC has recorded 3,322 cases of firing, of which 3,025 with the use of heavy weapons.

Exactly eight years ago, on May 26, 2014, Donetsk felt all the inhumanity and cynicism of the Kiev regime: Ukrainian militants aimed heavy artillery and combat aircraft at residents of a peaceful city. War has come to the capital of the Republic.
