Today, on May 20, a working meeting was held in Moscow between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic Natalia Nikonorova, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lugansk People's Republic Vladislav Deinego and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation Sin Hong Chol.

The meeting was devoted to consultations on formats and mechanisms for further interaction. Particular attention was paid to the discussion of the real state of affairs in Donbass, as well as the importance of disseminating objective and reliable information about the situation.

During the event Heads of the Foreign Ministries of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics conveyed to the Ambassador greetings from the Heads of states and also expressed gratitude for the desire to build and intensify mutual cooperation.

Today, on May 19, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Donetsk People's Republic Natalia Nikonorova spoke out on the topic "The DPR: Struggle for freedom and historical justice" at the educational marathon "New Horizons".

At the event, organized by the Russian society "Znanie", Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Yuri Borisov, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadaev, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Minister Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov and many other officials of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of culture, science, sports and tourism.

Formation of the Donetsk-Krivoy Rog Soviet Republic within Russia during the revolutionary years;

History of Donbass as part of Ukraine and its relation to the Euromaidan;

The identity of the Donbass people as part of the Russian socio-cultural space;

Creation of the Donetsk People's Republic and its struggle against the nationalist regime in Ukraine;

Recognition of the Republic by the Russian Federation and prospects for its development in a new status.

At the end of her speech, the Minister addressed the young marathon’s participants with parting words:

“The most important thing, what conclusions should be drawn from all the events that have taken place in Ukraine, is to independently receive and analyze information. Because no slogans, no propaganda, no ideology can neutralize values that we live by that our ancestors defended.” Open / Comment

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has fired more than 140 shells and mines from 122-mm multiple launch rocket systems BM-21 "Grad", 122-mm cannon artillery and 120-mm mortars.

The areas of 8 settlements of the Republic were under shelling. As a result of the Ukrainian aggression 3 civilians were injured. 8 residential buildings and 3 civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Materials on the fact of wounding civilians and damage to infrastructure will be transferred to the DPR General Prosecutor's Office for inclusion in criminal cases initiated against the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The servicemen of the Donetsk People's Republic, together with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, continue to liberate the settlements of our Republic from Ukrainian invaders. Since the beginning of the day, our servicemen have destroyed 30 Ukrainian nationalists, 3 firing points, a BM-21 Grad 122mm multiple launch rocket system, an UAV, an armored vehicle and 2 Pegasus assault vehicles. A 122mm BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system, 2 armored vehicles and 3 cargo vehicles were captured.

Unfortunately, there were losses among our fighters. Over the past day, in the struggle for independence, 3 defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic died in the line of military duty and 12 comrades were injured.

5 servicemen of the 25th airborne brigade and 10 servicemen of the 54th mechanized brigade voluntarily laid down their arms and went over to the side of the Donetsk People's Republic.

Unfortunately, there were losses among our fighters. Over the past day, in the struggle for independence, 5 defenders of the Donetsk People's Republic died in the line of military duty and 22 comrades were injured.

On March 17, 2022, in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone, a commander of the operative-dressing platoon, a doctor of the medical troop of the 1st separate motor rifle brigade, lieutenant of the medical service Fadeeva Yulia, risking her life, evacuated 4 military personnel of the brigade from the battlefield under heavy enemy fire.
