2022-04-22 20:22:52 The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan."

: Sahih Bukhari 2017

NOTE : Night of Qadr changes every year. The Sahabah saw the night of Qadr on different nights on different years. The wisdom behind this is that Allah (سُبحانه وتعالى) wants us to keep ourselves devoted in his worship in these 10 days, so the lazy one doesn't depend on only one night. It was also the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) worshipped the same way in the last 10 days, so we should do this as well. Do not fix only one day for worshipping (like 27th) because who knows that Laylatul Qadr has already passed.. or is about to come, so do not waste these nights, treat every night as important because this was the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).

"Send Salah upon me and strive hard in supplication, and say:

« اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ »

(Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin)

O Allah, send Salah (Graces, Honours, Blessings and Mercy, etc.) upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad."

I'tikaaf (Seclusion In The Masjid)

I'tikaaf of both men and women IS ONLY VALID IF OBSERVED IN THE MASJID.

Al-Nawawi (رحمة الله) said in al-Majmoo’ (6/505): "It is not valid for men or women to observe i’tikaaf anywhere but in the mosque; it is not valid in the mosque of a woman’s house or the mosque of a man’s house, which is a space that is set aside for prayer."

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (rah) was asked in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (20/264) about where a woman who wants to observe i’tikaaf should do so?

He replied: "If a woman wants to observe i’tikaaf, she should observe i’tikaaf in the mosque so long as that does not involve anything that is forbidden according to sharee’ah. If that does involve anything that is forbidden then she should not do i’tikaaf."

THE MINIMUM LENGTH OF TIME For I'tikaaf.

"With regard to the minimum length of time for i’tikaaf, the majority stipulated that it must be observed in the mosque, and that it is permissible to do a lot or a little, even a hour or a moment."

IT IS NOT CORRECT FOR A WOMAN TO OBSERVE ITIKAAF IN HER HOUSE.

I’tikaaf is only valid if done in the Masjid. Men and women are equal in this regard. A woman does not have the right to observe i'tikaaf in her house.

Al-Nawawi (رحمة الله) said in al-Majmoo’ (6/480): "It is not correct for a man or a woman to observe i'tikaaf anywhere except in the mosque."

NOTE: The famous duaa of last 10 nights – Allahumma innaka afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa fu anni – there are differences in opinions regarding the grading of the hadiths so I won't be sharing it here But Alhamdulillah there is a duaa for Laylatul Qadr which is graded hasan by some senior scholars – Allahumma inni as alukal afwa wal afiyah – so read it In Sha Allah! Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) In The Last 10 Days of Ramadan

Aishah (رضى الله عنها) said:

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to strive harder in the last ten (nights of Ramadan) than at any other time."

Narrated Aishah (رضى الله عنها):

"With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to tighten his waist belt (i.e., work hard) and used to keep awake all the night and perform prayer and also used to keep his family awake for the prayer."

Narrated Aishah (رضى الله عنها):

"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), used to practise Itikaaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say: "Look for the night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan."

• Sending Salah Upon Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"Whoever sends Salah upon me once, Allah will send Salah upon him tenfold, and will erase ten sins from him, and will raise him ten degrees in status."

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came one day with a cheerful expression on his face, and we said: "We see you looking cheerful."

He (ﷺ) said: "The Angel came to me and said: O Muhammad, your Lord says: 'Will it not please you (to know) that no one will send Salah upon you but I will send Salah upon him tenfold, and no one will send Salams upon you but I will send Salams upon him tenfold?'"
