የመጋቢት 10/2013 ዕለታዊ ቃል
መዝሙር 143 ይነበብ


ይህ መዝሙር እንደሌሎቹ ሁሉ የዳዊት ፀሎቶች በጥያቄ የተሞላ ነው። በጠላቶቹ ጭቆና እና በውስጡ ባለው መንፈሱ ድካም፣ ስለ ችግሮቹ ያማርራል። ስለ ጌታ ምህረትና ከጭቆናው እፎይታ ለማግኘት ይጸልያል።

ዳዊት እየጸለየና ከልቡ  ወደጌታ  እየተጣራ፣ የቀደመውን ዘመን በማስታወስ ጌታ ቀደም ሲል ለእርሱ ያደረገውን በማስታወስ እርሱን ያስባል፤ ያወጣል፣ ያወርዳል። ይህ ያለፈውን የማስታወስና የማሰብ ተግባር የፀሎቱን ድምጸት ይለውጠዋል፣ ራሱን ከጌታ መንገዶችና ከማይጠፋው ፍቅሩ ጋር ማስማማት ይጀምራል። ጌታን ወዳለበት ቦታ በዚያው ቅጽበት መጋበዝ ይጀምራልና የእርሱን መንገድ ማየት እና በመልካም መንፈሱ መመራት ይፈልጋል።

በሕይወት ውጣ ውረድ ስንናወጥ ብዙውን ጊዜ ወደ ጌታ መጥቶ ችግራችንን ሁሉ ጣል አድርገን ሁሉንም እንዲያሳልፍ እርሱን መጠየቅ ቀላል ነው፤ ይልቁንስ እግዚአብሔር  እንድናደርግ የሚፈልገውን  ነገር ለማወቅ  በቀላሉ እርሱን ወደምንገኝበት መጋበዝ ነው። በዚያ ቅጽበት ውስጥ  ራሳችንን  ከእርሱ መንገድና ድምፁ ጋር እናስማማለን።

በጊዜው ጠላታችን ብለን ከጠራነው እኛን በሚያድን የጀግንነት ስራው ተስፋ ከቆረጥንበት እንዲያድነን ሁል ጊዜ  ወደጌታ መጮሃችን ቀላል ይመስላል፣ እናም እንደዚያ ነው። ነገር ግን ቢያድነንም ባያድነንም ጌታን ወደዚያ ተስፋ ወደ ቆረጥንበት  ስፍራ  ብንጋብዘውና ከመንገዱና ከድምፁ  ጋር ራሳችንን ማስማማት ብንችል እጅግ የላቀ  ነገር ነው። በዚህ ውስጥ በእኛና በሁኔታው ላይ  ያለውን የጌታን ፈቃድ ማየትና መማር እንችላለን።

የሕይወት ተዛምዶ
ዛሬ ሁላችንም ጌታን ወዳለንበት ቦታ ለመጋበዝ ትንሽ ጊዜ ወስደን ልባችንን እና አእምሯችንን  ከመንገዱ  ጋር ሆን ብለን በመስማማት መንፈስ ቅዱስ እኛ በምንገኝበት በማንኛውም ሁኔታ እንዲመራን እንድንፈቀድለት ማበረታታት እፈልጋለሁ።

ፀሎት
ጌታ ሆይ፣ አሁን በዚህ ሰዓት ወዳለሁበት እጋብዝሃለሁ እናም በዚያም መንገድህን እንድታሳየኝ እፈቅድልሃለሁ። አሜን!! Open / Comment

A Daily Devotional for March 19, 2021
Read Psalm 143

This Psalm like the many others in this part of the Bible, is a prayer of David, and full of complaints. He complains of his troubles, through the oppression of his enemies, and the weakness of his spirit under it. He prays for the mercy of the Lord, and a relief from his oppression. 

As David goes on with his prayer and earnest call for the Lord, he recalls the days of long ago and remembers what the Lord has done for him in the past and mediates on it. This act of remembrance and mediation shifts the tone of his prayer, he begins to align himself with the ways of the Lord, and His unfailing Love. He begins to invite the Lord to the place he is in, in that moment and seeks to see His way and be led by His good Spirit.

When getting overwhelmed with the chaos of life, it is often easy to come to the Lord, dump all of our problems and ask of Him to make it all go away. When instead what God wants us to do is simply invite Him to where we are in that moment and align ourselves with His way and His voice. 

Even though it sounds, and looks easy for God to come to our rescue every time we cry out in desperation to simply perform a heroic act of saving us from whatever it is we are calling our enemy at the time, (and it is), it’s much greater to be able to invite the Lord into that place of desperation and align ourselves with His way and voice whether or not He rescues us. For in that we will see and learn the will of the Lord over us and over the situation.   
 
Life Application 
Today I would like to encourage us all to take a moment to invite the Lord to where you are, and be intentional about aligning our hearts and minds to His way and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us through whatever situation we find ourselves in.

Prayer 
Lord, I invite You to where I am in this moment and allow You to show me your way. Amen. Open / Comment

የመጋቢት 9/2013 ዕለታዊ ቃል
1ኛ ሳሙኤል 25፡2-39ን አንብቡ


እኛ ክርስቲያኖች ብዙውን ጊዜ የትህትናን አቅም አቅልለን እናየዋለን። ከየትኛውም ነገር በላይ ሁኔታዎችን የማርገብ አቅም አለው።

በ 1 ሳሙኤል 25 ውስጥ ስለ አቢግያና ናባል ታሪክ እንማራለን። ናባል በሁሉም ድርጊቶቹ ውስጥ ጨካኝና ክፉ እንደነበረ ይናገራል። ናባል ዳዊትንና ሰዎቹን ዞር በሉ ብሎ የዳዊትን ጥያቄ እምቢ ባለበት ጊዜ ነገሮች ወደ መልካም አቅጣጫ እንደማይሄዱ ግልፅ ነበር፣ ነገር ግን አቢግያ ጣልቃ ለመግባት ወሰነች። በዚህ የአቢግያ ውሳኔ ላይ አስገራሚ የሆነው ነገር ባለቤቷ በእውነቱ ልትከላከልለት የማይገባ ሰው መሆኑ ነው። በራሱ ራስ ወዳድነት ምርጫውን አድርጓል ነገር ግን አቢግያ አሁንም በእርሱ ምትክ ጣልቃ ለመግባት ወሰነች። ባሏን ለመከላከልና በዳዊት ፊት ለመቅረብ የትህትናን መንገድ መረጠች።

ዳዊት አቢግያን ሲያገኛት ትህትናዋ ሁኔታውን ባንዴ አረገበው። በእውነቱ ዳዊት ናባልን ከመርገምና ቤተሰቡን ሁሉ ከማጥቃት ይልቅ በምትኩ አቢግያን ባረካት። የአቢግያ ትህትና የመላው ቤተሰቧን ፍርድ ወደ በረከት ተቀየረ።

በዛሬው ዓለም ትሑት የሆነውን መንገድ መውሰድ ብርቅ ነው። በራሳችን መረዳት ላይ ቆመን ትክክለኛ መሆንንና ሌሎችን መወንጀል እንመርጣለን። ሆኖም ከአቢግያ አንድ ነገር መማር አለብን፤ ብዙውን ጊዜ ትክክለኛ ከመሆንና ፍርድ ከመስጠት ይልቅ ላላጠፋነው ነገር ጥፋተኝነትን መቀበልና ትሁት መሆን የተሻለ ነው። በውጤቱ ልትገረሙ ትችላላችሁ። ቅጣት ይመጣል ብላችሁ ባሰባችሁበት በረከት ልትቀበሉ ትችላላችሁ።

ፍርዱን ለእግዚአብሔር እንተወውና በረከትን ለማምጣት በትህትና የሚራመዱ ሰዎች እንሁን።

የሕይወት ተዛምዶ
በአሁኑ ሰዓት የትህትናን ጎዳና ልትወስዱበት የምትችሉበት ሁኔታዎች አሉ?

A Daily Devotional for March 18, 2021
1 Samuel 25:2-39

As Christians we often underestimate the power of humility. It often can diffuse a situation like nothing else can. 

In 1 Samuel 25 we learn of the story of Abigail and Nabal. It says that Nabal was harsh and evil in all of his doings. When Nabal turns away David and his men and refuses David’s request it is expected that things will not go well for him, but Abigail decides to step in. What is amazing about this decision of Abigail’s is that her husband really doesn’t deserve to be defended. He has made his choice in his own selfishness yet Abigail still decides to intervene on his behalf. She chooses the way of humility both in defending her husband and coming before David. 

When David encounters Abigail, her humility diffuses the whole situation. In fact, instead of cursing Nabal and coming after his whole household, David instead blesses Abigail. Abigail’s humility turned judgment into blessing for her entire household. 

In today’s world taking the humble road is rare. We’d rather be right, justified and cast blame based on our own understanding. However, we should take a note out of Abigail’s book, it’s often better to be humble and even take the blame for something you may not deserve than to be right and cast judgment. You just might be surprised with the outcome. You might receive blessing where you thought punishment would come. 

Let’s leave the judging to God and let’s be people who walk in humility to usher in blessing.
