@G3News: The French press confirmed on Wednesday (Feb. 9) the news of Professor Luc Montagnier's death on Tuesday (Feb. 8) at the age of 89 at the American Hospital in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

The news was confirmed by Dr. Gérard Guillaume, one of his closest collaborators, who reported that he left this world behind peacefully in the company of his children.

Montagnier was a renowned biologist and virologist who received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2008 for having been one of the discoverers of HIV.

He generated controversy at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic by telling the world that the virus was created in a laboratory.

In recent weeks, he had been the focus of criticism and praise for stating that "the unvaccinated will save humanity."

@COVID19Up: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson piled pressure on Scotland and Wales to remove their remaining COVID-19 restrictions after announcing on Wednesday (Feb. 9) that he expects all virus rules in England—including the requirement to isolate after testing positive—to be abolished in two weeks, moving the previous plan forward by a full month.

The current self-isolation rules in England expire on March 24, but Johnson told MPs that "provided the current encouraging trends in the data continue, it is my expectation that we will be able to end the last domestic restrictions—including the legal requirement to self-isolate if you test positive—a full month early."

Johnson said he will present his plan for "living with COVID" when Parliament returns from a short recess on February 21.

2022-02-10 02:02:48 Sweden Essentially Declares Pandemic Over, Will No Longer Classify COVID-19 as a Danger to Society

@COVID19Up: Sweden scrapped almost all of its few pandemic restrictions on Wednesday (Feb. 9) and stopped most testing requirements for SARS-CoV-2, even as some scientists begged the government not to.

Sweden, which throughout the pandemic has opted against lockdowns in favor of a voluntary approach, announced last week it would scrap the remaining restrictions—essentially declaring the pandemic over.

"As we know this pandemic, I would say it's over," Minister of Health Lena Hallengren told local media. "It's not over, but as we know it in terms of quick changes and restrictions it is," she said, adding that COVID-19 would no longer be classified as a danger to society.

As of Wednesday, bars and restaurants will be allowed to stay open after 11 p.m. again, and with no limits on the number of guests. Attendance limits for larger indoor venues were also lifted, as was the use of COVID-19 vaccine passes.

It doesn't matter what color you are, your "2nd Amendment Rights" don't matter. The cops will kill you if they want to.

In fact, 3 years ago in Houston a "white" couple and their dog was murdered in their own home in broad daylight by HPD officers. There has been little to no accountability and the usual "social justice activists" have been silent. No huge marches, rallies, protests, or vigils. Just the few of us fighting to keep their memory alive and bring justice.

Point: The cops and the government will kill you if it serves their goals or you get in the way.

@G3News: Elon Musk's SpaceX says its newest fleet of satellites is tumbling out of orbit after being struck by a solar storm, describing the loss as a “unique situation."

Up to 40 of the 49 Starlink satellites launched last week have already burned up reentering the atmosphere or are on the verge of doing so, the company said in an online update Tuesday (Feb. 8) night.

SpaceX said a geomagnetic storm last Friday (Feb. 4) made the atmosphere denser, which increased the drag on the Starlink satellites, effectively dooming them.

Such geomagnetic storms are caused by intense solar activity like flares, which can send streams of plasma from the sun's corona hurtling out into space and toward Earth.

2022-02-09 22:22:19 House Republicans Demand Answers From USAID on $4.7 Million Grant for EcoHealth Alliance in Oct. 2021 Amid Serious Concerns

@COVID19Up: A group of House Republicans is requesting answers after the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded a five-year $4.7 million grant to EcoHealth Alliance.

"USAID’s decision to award EcoHealth Alliance additional federal funding is misguided and deeply concerning," Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA), said in a statement. He and 25 other Republicans sent a letter on Monday (Feb. 7) to USAID Administrator Samantha Power, requesting additional information about the grant.

"EcoHealth used money from their last federal grant to fund dangerous, gain-of-function coronavirus research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology before the pandemic," Reschenthaler added.

"Under the leadership of Dr. Peter Daszak, EcoHealth has failed to comply with federal reporting requirements, given the U.S. government the runaround, and attempted to impede research into the lab leak theory. That's why I introduced a bill to defund EcoHealth."

"They've proven they can't be trusted to put the American people ahead of the demands of the CCP. Additionally, my colleagues and I want to know if USAID was aware of EcoHealth’s involvement with the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the organization’s track record of deception when they awarded them the grant, and if they will continue to funnel taxpayer dollars to controversial research or CCP labs."

@COVID19Up: Dr. Andrew Huff, the former VP of Data and Technology at EcoHealth Alliance, has submitted a whistleblower complaint to U.S. Senator Roger Wicker alleging EcoHealth Alliance "funded the development of SARS-COV-2" and "engaged in fraud against the U.S. government."

When Dr. Huff first came forward in October 2021 as a material witness to the unethical and criminal behavior he saw working as the executive scientist in charge of data technology development related to emerging infectious diseases, one of the three officials he raised these issues with—EcoHealth Alliance CFO Harvey Kasdan—died of a heart attack shortly after the meeting.

Dr. Huff—an advisor to the United Nations—also claims EcoHealth Alliance CEO Dr. Peter Daszak has worked with the CIA since at least 2015, and may be a "double agent" working on behalf of the Chinese government.

@COVID19Up: A peer-reviewed study published last month in the Cureus Journal of Medical Science found the prophylactic use of ivermectin reduced COVID-19 mortality by 90% among more than 223,000 study participants in a town in Southern Brazil.

Based on the results, Dr. Flavio Cadegiani, one of the study’s lead authors, said, “Ivermectin must be considered as an option, particularly during outbreaks.”

Dr. Pierre Kory told The Epoch Times the results of the study “should convince any naysayer. What they found was astounding.”

“You would think this would lead to major headlines everywhere. And yet, nothing. And this is not new, this censorship of this highly effective science and evidence around repurposed drugs. The censoring of it, it’s not new, it’s just getting more and more absurd. And it has to stop," Kory said.

Kory added that it’s not even about ivermectin, “it’s about the pharmaceutical industry’s capture of our agencies and how our policies are all directed at suppressing and avoiding use of re-purposed drugs” in favor of high-profit medicines.

2022-02-09 17:24:58 U.S. Central Command Vows More Involvement in UAE’s War Against Yemen's Houthis

@G3News: General Frank McKenzie, the head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), visited the UAE this week and vowed more support for Abu Dhabi’s war against the Houthis as the U.S. escalates its involvement in the war in Yemen.

In the wake of recent Houthi attacks on the UAE, the U.S. is deploying the USS Cole to the country, and McKenzie said a squadron of F-22s would arrive next week. “We’re going to bring in a squadron of F-22 fighter jets, the best air superiority fighters in the world,” he said.

McKenzie said the F-22s will work with the UAE to “help defend the nation.” In recent weeks, the U.S. helped Abu Dhabi intercept Houthi missiles. He said the USS Cole will “patrol the waters of the UAE, working closely with UAE air defenders to protect their nation.”

The cooperation is framed as “defensive” in nature, but it’s important to note that the Houthis wouldn’t be attacking the UAE if the country hadn’t been waging war on Yemen since 2015.
