2022-03-02 12:06:55 The one who praises you with that which is not within you, reaches the peak in criticizing you, because he alerts to your shortcoming.

And the one who criticizes you with that which is not within you, reachest the peak in praising you, because he alerts to your virtue.

2022-03-01 12:54:55 As for the saying: “Whosoever's guide is his book then his error(s) will be more than what he is correct in” - then this is not totally correct and nor totally incorrect.

As for the person who takes knowledge from any book he sees, then no doubt he will err abundantly.

And as for the one who in his learning depends upon the books of men known for trustworthiness, reliability and knowledge then this person's errors will not be many and will be correct in the majority of what he says.

2022-03-01 08:48:29 The Messenger ﷺ said: “Hasten in performing good deeds before being overtaken by a Fitnah the likes of a dark night: A man will wake in the morning as a believer, and be a disbeliever by the evening; or reach the evening as a believer, and wake in the morning as a disbeliever: He would sell his religion for a worldly gain.”

2022-02-28 14:42:23 As for al-Salafī who is allied with al-Salafiyīn,

Who loves al-manhaj (ie: the methodology of) al-salafī (ie: the pious predecessors),

Bārak Allahu fīkum (ie: may Allah bless you),

Who hates al-aḥzāb (ie: the sects),

Hates al-bidaʿ (ie: innovations) and their followers,

As well as the one who presents other signs among the signs of al-manhaj al-Salafī,

If after that, he is ḍaʿīf (ie: weak) in some aspects,

We show ourselves softly towards him.

We do not abandon him,

Instead we advise him,

We pull him,

We are patient with him and we heal him,

May Allah bless you.

As for saying: “The one who is wrong will perish”, if we base on this, no one will stay!

2022-02-28 14:18:28 Ibn Kathīr reported: Abū ʿUthmān al-Wāʿidh may Allah have mercy on him was asked: “Which of your deeds do you most hope for its acceptance (by Allah)?”

He said: When I grew up while I was in al-Ray and they wanted me to marry but I used to refuse.

A woman came to me and said: “O Abū ʿUthmān, I love you so much that I cannot sleep at night and I have no patience. I ask by the controller of the hearts (Allah) and make him mediator that you marry me.”

I asked: “Do you have a father?”

She said: “Yes.”

So He was brought and I married her in the presence of witnesses.

But when I went to her alone I saw that she was one-eyed, crippled and disfigured.

I said: “O Allah, praise be to you that you have decreed her for me.

My family used to blame me for marrying her but I would always increase my goodness and good behavior with her.

Many times she kept me with her and prevented me from attending some al-majālis (ie: gatherings of knowledge),

And due to that I would consider myself as if I was on hot coals but I never showed her anything about my feelings.”

I remained like that for fifteen years,

(Due to this) there is no good deed which I hope for acceptance because I preserved her love for her (ie: by not showing her how he felt towards her).

2022-02-28 10:14:28 ʿAbd Allah (Ibn al-Mubārak) said: “If the good qualities of a person outweigh his bad qualities, then his bad qualities are not mentioned.

And if his bad qualities outweigh his good qualities, then his good qualities are not mentioned.”

2022-02-28 08:37:11 {And for all, there will be degrees according to that which they did, that He (Allah) may recompense them in full for their deeds. And they will not be wronged.} [46:19]

The majority of Ahl al-Kalām refute falsehood with falsehood and innovation with innovation;

However, they refute the falsehood of the disbelieving polytheists and People of the Book with the falsehood of Muslims.

Thus, al-kāfir (ie: the disbeliever) converts into a Muslim innovator.

More specific than these is the one who refutes the apparent innovation like that of the Rāfīḍī Shīʿah with a lesser innovation than that- the innovation of Ahl al-Sunnah.

2022-02-27 10:07:05 How, then, would the best generation (the Companions) of this ummah have less knowledge and wisdom (ie: about Allah and the rulings concerning His verses and Names) than those who are debased in comparison to them (ie: people of philosophical rhetoric)?

How would these young (infantile) dabblers in philosophy, the followers of the al-Hind (ie: Indian) and al-Yūnān (ie: the Greek philosophers), these inheritors of the al-Majūs wa ʿl-Mushrikīn (ie: the magians and the polytheists), the inheritors of those most misguided among the al-Yahūd (ie: Jews), al-Naṣṣārá (ie: Christians) and Sabeans and those of their likeness,

(How would these foul later-generation philosophers) have more knowledge about Allah, than the warathah al-anbiyāʾ wa Ahl al-Qurʾān wa ʿl-Īmān (ie: inheritors of the Prophets and the People of the Qurʾān and faith)?

2022-02-26 11:12:28 It should be known that acts of innovation in the religion are not upon the same level;

Rather they are of darajāt (ie: varying degrees);

Some are acts of shirk (ie: polytheism) and clear-cut kufr (ie: disbelief) while some are less than that

But we should know that a little act of bidaʿh a man comes up with in the religion is prohibited after it might have become clear that it is bidaʿh.

There is nothing as such in acts of bidaʿh that are merely reprehensible as some people think.

What the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said is that “All acts of bidaʿh is ḍalālah (ie: misguidance) and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.” That is, whoever comes with it.
